We weaned and vaccinated the fall calves this week. It looks to be a very even and consistent set of calves. There were a few more bulls than heifers in the group.

The planning of our 2007 Sale has already begun.

KABSU was down to the farm yesterday to collect Newest Design. We'll know how good of a collection it was in a day or two. I'm anticipating over 50 straws from this initial collection.

I have received a few of the registration papers back from the Association. They should all be in my hands by the end of the week. If all goes well I should be able to mail most of them out to the buyers next week.

In between planting corn and sale paperwork, I'm planning the AI schedule for this spring. A lot depends on how well the new bull freezes, too.

We are planning to wean the fall calves by the middle of April. The second round of Genetics By Design 049 calves are in this group.
